Alexander Ogorodnikov, who for months has been threatened with arrest due to his inability to secure a Moscow residence permit, has finally received such a permit. This became possible, Keston reports, after Ogorodnikov married a Moscow resident, Galina Bogdanova, on November 19. Ogorodnikov's first wife remarried, without his knowledge, five days before his early release from hard labor camp in March, 1987, after 8 years' imprisonment. They have an 11-year old son, Dimitri.
